One of my most favourite films to talk about was from the genre of fiction. I was the lead actor. I was playing a newly married person and it explored how two people, largely strangers, come together through the institution of marriage. The conversations between them, how understanding between them grows with time and the whole process of it unfolding. The filmmaker had something in mind but the film had other ideas on how it wanted to be made. The entire crew came together and by the end of the movie, it had become something different altogether. It featured monologues by me and the other lead actress, none other than Radhika Apte. It cut through all the pretense and talked about real emotions that real people felt. The film is still sitting somewhere and I hold the entire experience close.
